Fin and fin-er
I’m back from Kelowna after a pretty uneventful trip. I didn’t get a chance to visit any yarn stores (I was in two buildings - the airport terminal and the hotel) - but I would highly recommend The Grand as a place to stay. It’s more on the pricey side, but if you’re feeling indulgent and you’re going to be in the Kelowna area, go for it.
On the down side, I don’t really care for air travel. I don’t mind the flying part, nor the landing - it’s the air on the plane that bothers me. It’s too….recycled. And it’s not like I can open a window. Anyway, today I feel kinda crumby, so I booked the afternoon off - which gave me time to finish up these:
The pink & grey pullover was done on the Bond USM - the first real garment I tried on there. I actually
did all the knitting in a few hours between Christmas & New Year’s, but my love of seaming and finishing left the completion until today. Overall, I’m pleased with the result. The sweater will be off to the Dulaan Project and is the second item finished in my “Delurker” list. This one is for Amy.
I also finished up the sweater kmkat asked be sent to the Dulaan Project. Overall, I really liked knitting this sweater and the bulky yarn made it a fast knit. As with the other sweater, the real hold up was me shirking the finishing process. But still, it’s a pattern I’ll knit again - and probably very soon since I have some yarn in a dresser drawer that I’ve been wondering how to use…..
